Types of Marketing

Person Marketing

Person marketing consists of activities undertaken to create, maintain or change attitudes or behavior towards particular persons. one common form is celebrity marketing. Celebrity marketing is a good featuring a famous person to offer an endorsement of a product.

 

Place Marketing

Place marketing involves activities undertaken to create, maintain or change attitude or behavior towards particular places. Good marketing can do wonders for a business. It can set trends, change the perception and create demand for a product or service in the market. 

 

Social Marketing

Social marketing allows businesses and web sites to gain popularity over the Internet by using different types of social media available such as blogs, video and photo sharing sites, social networking sites. One of the best advantages of social marketing is that anyone can take advantage of it, even from their own home.

 

Mass Marketing

Mass marketing involves advertising products or brands to a wide variety of audiences. examples are TV and radio advertising.

 

Internal Marketing

 Internal marketing involves such basic elements as listening to customers & communicating to others in the customer-supplier chain. Internal marketing targets those who do know about your business. Internal marketing is the task of hiring, training, motivating able employees who want to serve customers well.

 

Relationship marketing

When the company focuses on increasing the customer satisfaction by providing exactly what the customer wants, then the customer is likely to stay longer with the brand.

 

Services Marketing

Services are activities or benefits that one party can offer to another that are essentially intangible & do not result in the ownership of anything. Services marketing typically refers to both business to consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) services.

 

Finally, Marketing is creating a strong company image, controlling cost & increasing speed, creating a strong sales team & creating a flexible & adoptive organization.
